APAの著者-日付方式の背景
APAはAmerican Psychological Associationに由来し、心理学、教育、看護、ビジネス、そして社会科学と行動科学の大半における引用を規定します。引用はタイトルやページではなく著者と日付を中心に構成されるため、知見の新しさが知見そのものと同じくらい重要な分野に適しています。年は括弧内に置かれるので、読者は文を離れずに証拠を評価できます。
第7版は2020年に登場し、現在APAの使用を指示する場合はこれを意味します。旧来の慣行や古い生成ツールが今も誤りやすい点をいくつか改めています。書籍の参考文献に出版都市を記さないこと、DOIをdoi:ラベルの下に隠さず、完全なhttps://doi.orgアドレスとして示すこと、参考文献一覧では最大20名の著者を記し、その後に省略記号を置くこと、さらにet al.は3名の著者で最初の引用から用いることです。6版と7版の慣行が混在した参考文献一覧は、見慣れた採点者には容易に見抜かれます。

Six APA habits worth knowing before you paste
These are the details that separate a reference list built to the current manual from one still running on 6th-edition memory.
Titles stay in sentence case
An article or book title capitalizes only its first word, the first word after a colon, and any proper noun. Journal names break from this on purpose, keeping full title case and italics.
An ampersand in parentheses, and in prose
Join author names with an ampersand inside a citation or reference entry, but spell out and when the names sit inside your own sentence. Reversing the two is a frequent slip.
Et al. starts at author three
From the first in-text mention of a work with three or more authors, cite the lead author plus et al. The full reference entry still names every author up to twenty.
A DOI reads as a full address
Write a DOI as https://doi.org/10.xxxx, never behind a doi: label, with no closing period that could be mistaken for part of the link.
Volume in italics, issue in plain type
Italicize the journal volume the same way as the journal name, then set the issue number in plain parentheses right after it with no gap: 115(4).
No city for the publisher
A book reference under the 7th edition ends with the publisher's name alone. Any source still listing a city belongs to the retired 6th edition.
